“Goodbyes,” which features rapper Young Thug, marks Post Malone’s first single of 2019.

The song was produced by Post Malone’s frequent collaborator Louis Bell, as well as Brian Lee. It sees the two artists emotionally talking about their tough farewells.

“Me and Kurt feel the same, too much pleasure is pain/My girl spites me in vain, all I do is complain/She needs something to change, need to take off the e-e-edge/So f*ck it all tonight,” Post Malone raps in his opening verse.

He also unveiled the accompanying music video, directed by American filmmaker Colin Tilley.

The ’50s-inspired clip opens on Malone being violently stabbed to death by a rival gang. He later comes back from the dead, walking around a Wild West-like town.

Young Thug appears as a club singer while actress Kathryn Newton, who is best known for her roles in “Big Little Lies” and “Detective Pokemon,” portrays Post Malone’s lost lover.

“Goodbyes” marks the first official collaboration between Post Malone and Young Thug. The pair previously teamed up on the rapper’s 2018 single “Me or Us,” which features production by Malone.

Post Malone released his Grammy-nominated sophomore album, “beerbongs & Bentleys,” in 2018. He has since shared two tracks, “WOW” and “Sunflower” featuring Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee.

The singer, who also recently appeared in DJ Khaled’s “Celebrate,” has teased that he plans to release more music later this year.
