This is worth bragging about because they don’t seem to like visiting Earth very much, although in all likelihood they could have been frequent visitors in the past when the idea of “extra-terrestrials” had yet to be popularised.
Regardless, they’ve paid Malaysians a visit not just once but three times in recorded history.
1. Tanjung Sepat, Selangor (1995)

Between September and October of 1995, sightings of a UFO as wide as a football field and as tall as a building, flashing red, green and yellow lights in circular motion, became the talk of the town.
News of the sighting spread like wildfire and even reporters were assigned to investigate the claim.
Those who saw it firsthand reported a powerful bright light hovering, then landing in a nearby jungle, never to re-emerge.
The villagers even claimed to catch sight of the occupants of the flying object, describing the alien beings as standing at 60 centimetres tall, and sporting red eyes and long ears.
It was alleged that the authorities did not have the resources to investigate the sighting, and since no damage or loss of lives were reported, no formal investigation followed either.
Although the incident soon became a cold case, it did spark interest in the study of UFOs in Malaysia.
In fact, after the incident, the first local UFO conference was organised. It was a huge success, though probably the last of its kind.
2. Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (2002)

In October 2002, air traffic controllers (ATCs) at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) reportedly spotted an unusually large airborne object on their radar screens.
The cigar-like shaped object was described as bigger than a Fokker airliner.
The ATCs were confident there were no other aircraft in the airspace at the time. The unidentified flying object was later observed by airport personnel on the ground.
One of the witnesses claimed the UFO ascended from the direction of the sea and flew over the airport’s terminal without a sound before disappearing behind nearby hills.
It is also believed that this was not the first UFO sighting in the skies there, with some claiming of four other sightings during a seven-year period leading up to the October incident.
An official explanation of the object was never provided by the authorities.
3. Kuala Krai, Kelantan (2016)

In 2016, a spaceship-like object was seen circulating above the remotely-located village of Kuala Krai.
Naturally, the locals were terrified but managed to record the object before it vanished into thin air.
The UFO caught on video resembled spaceships often seen in mainstream science fiction movies, and not surprisingly, local authorities were quick to rubbish the sighting.
Conclusion
Everyone has at some point in their lives wondered if there is life in outer space. And yet the answer to this million dollar question remains elusive despite the rapid advancements in technology.
However, if the first thing that comes to mind at the mention of UFO is “fake” – think again.
The truth of the matter is that there could be something (or someone) out there that humans at present do not have the capacity to comprehend.
After all, more than 80% of the Earth’s ocean remains unexplored and unobserved to this day.
And Earth is but a speck of dust in the enormity that is the universe. So who’s to say that Earthlings are alone?
