This single-day event will comprise two terrific sessions for eager attendees, with each session offering a range of whiskies and other spirits from many of Malaysia’s top spirits importers, distributors, and wholesalers.
Guests at WhiskyPLUS will enjoy unlimited tasting from dozens of different whisky and spirits brands and expressions in the 6,000sq ft main tasting room.
They will also be able to choose from a selection of set meal boxes provided to complement the session, as well as indulge in opportunities for masterclasses.
There will be pop-up bars, a VIP Lounge, and the return of the popular Collector’s Corner, a special selection of exceptional purchase-by-the-dram old and rare whiskies, some of which are truly rare offerings.
Tokens may be redeemed for drams of these highly coveted spirits, and a special space will be set aside for connoisseurs to sip these rarest and hardest-to-find whiskies in style.
More than 50 brands including some new to market offerings
With over 50 brands participating at WhiskyPLUS, including independent bottlings and some new-to-market expressions, connoisseurs are sure to find familiar labels alongside some new favourites.
Tickets are available for either Standard or VIP entry for each of the two sessions. All ticketed guests will receive entry to the main tasting floor, with unlimited sampling of a range of blended and single malt whiskies from around the world, complemented by a few other premium spirits, as well.
Guests will receive a commemorative Glencairn-style whisky tasting glass with the WhiskyPLUS 2019 logo that is theirs to keep, along with complimentary F&B vouchers for restaurants at Pavilion Hotel and its sister Banyan Tree property, and a set meal box to enjoy with the whisky tasting.
Those opting for the VIP entry pass will receive additional privileges and goodies. WhiskyPLUS will also feature an indulgent Cigar Corner in the main tasting room, featuring an expertly curated selection of hand-rolled cigars, both Cuban and non-Cuban, ranging from the affordable to the extravagant.
Cigar experts from KL’s Cigar Bar and Cigar Journal magazine will be on hand to answer questions and guide enthusiasts through the intriguing world of premium cigars.
Those wishing to smoke will be welcome at Pavilion Hotel’s beautiful Whisky Cove lounge, where they can relax and enjoy their chosen cigar.
VIP pass holders get access to some real exciting extras
VIP pass holders, meanwhile, will enjoy not only sampling from an exclusive collection of premium whiskies, but will receive access to the 3,000-square foot VIP Lounge, which holds some real surprises this year.
Working with some of Kuala Lumpur’s funky cocktail bars, talented bartenders, and popular spirits brands, WhiskyPLUS expects an added dose of fun and excitement with limited-timeonly pop-up bars during each session.

Session 1 is held from 12pm to 4pm, with Session 2 a slightly longer one, running from 5pm to 10pm. Though both sessions will be very similar, there may be differences in what’s offered by exhibitors for each one.
Guests are encouraged to choose the session that works best for their schedule. To ensure a more enjoyable experience for everyone, WhiskyPLUS is capacity-controlled and tickets for each session are limited.
