Announcing the drop via his Instagram today, James posted an image of the Icon QS basketball lifestyle sneaker — a low-top lace-up silhouette featuring a white translucent upper with black stripe detailing, Nike branding and a full-length Air Max midsole from the LeBron 8 signature shoe — with the following message:
“My guy John Elliot went back in the archives with the LeBron 8 and reimagined a whole new silhouette.”
In addition to the shoe, the collaborative capsule will also include a Nitrogen Pant featuring a subtle side zipper that opens up an interior gusset, a clean and crisp bomber jacket, a hoodie, and socks. All the looks are based on LeBron’s need for versatility, forming a wardrobe of pieces that “can move and are transitional”.
Following an initial teaser to the tie-up in May, the full Nike LeBron James x John Elliott Icon Collection will be available for fans to purchase from August 4, in North America, Japan, Southeast Asia, Australia and Brazil, with subsequent launches to follow in China on August 25, and September 1 in Europe.
