LOS ANGELES: As Grande, who celebrates her 25th birthday on Tuesday, sings acapella in the video, the camera swirls around so that she is seen first upside down, then right side up, sitting against a minimalist background.
Based on the lyrics Grande sings in the clip, the track is presumably called “Raindrops,” which she revealed was one of the song titles for the upcoming LP during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
During that appearance, she also revealed that the track would be sung a cappella and feature a sample of the Four Seasons’ “An Angel Cried.”
“Sweetener” is due out August 17 and will also include the previously released tracks “No Tears Left to Cry” and “The Light is Coming,” as well as other tracks whose titles she revealed to Fallon: “R.E.M.” and “God is a Woman.”
