Lost World Of Tambun promises a truly Spooky Halloween

Nothing quite sends the chills down your spine like the House of Dolls, Spooky Alley and the Haunted Chambers where a pontianak hunts for her lost child.

Bloodied limbs, cobwebs and eerie-looking dolls' heads greet the visitor.

Halloween’s right around the corner, and that means smiling pumpkin heads, scary long-haired ghosts in white gowns, bone-chilling tales of haunted houses and headless horsemen, and trick or treating all night long.

Although not much of a thing in Malaysia, the Irish-born pagan holiday has gained some degree of popularity here with costume parties and other halloween-themed events affording the young at heart the chance to let their inner Dracula out.

House of Dolls will either thrill you no end or send shivers up your spine like never before.

This year, the Lost World Of Tambun is cranking-up the creepies with its eerily-themed “House of Dolls”.

Try to keep your wits about you as one scary doll head after another pops up in the most unexpected spots bearing down on you with its deadly stare. And you’ve been warned… there’s bloodied limbs aplenty sticking out to grab your ankles as you make your way to the hot springs – good luck with that!

Soaking-up the bone-chilling atmosphere here is half the fun and in the evening, a performance at the House of Dolls will either thrill you no end or send shivers up your spine like never before. It’s the tale of a man who makes life-sized dolls for a living. And then one day… without giving away too much of the plot, suffice to say that even Frankenstein would scoot off in the opposite direction.

If you’re the kind who’s not easily spooked, Spooky Alley may change all that. Over here, some of the scariest dolls of all times will bear down on you whether you like it or not. It’s best to go in with a friend so you can hang on to each other for dear life and scream your lungs out as one terrifying doll after another jumps out at you from nowhere, catching you off guard. The ear-splitting pop of balloons every so often make you want to get out of there quick but wait – plotting your escape is not that easy as one last fright awaits you…

Another equally horrifying but thrilling experience can be found at the Lost World Haunted Chambers, where a frantic pontianak looking for her lost child terrorises those that wander in. As you await your turn, the screams preceding those who tumble out and the utter horror plastered on their faces may get you thinking twice about venturing in and encountering the pontianak inside.

The light and sound effects give you a truly immersive experience, and the “ghosts” there are totally dedicated to taking a few years off your life… figuratively, of course.

Witch Broom Hook meanwhile gives you the chance to interact with the resident witch inside as she throws a flurry of treats at you as she experiments on how to cast the perfect spell.

And for some added fun, hop over to Doll Tick-Tack-Toe where you can outsmart and outmatch your opponent, failing which, you just might end up being a part of the Lost World Of Tambun’s extensive doll collection… you have been warned!

pooky dolls with bloodshot eyes and one with hollowed-out eyes flashing light will give you the creeps.

Haunted houses and pontianaks aside, Pocky and Eclipse have teamed up with the park to set up “Trick or Treat” stations all around, so you can grab a snack on your way to the next frightful event.

If you badly feel the need to soothe those frayed nerves, head over to the petting zoo and give Ruby the Raccoon a comforting scratch on the head, or have yourself a cool drink at one of the Lost World Of Tambun’s many eateries.

That will help calm the nerves of the faint-hearted and keep those nightmares away.
