PETALING JAYA:
A group of policemen on the graveyard shift may have felt like they were in an episode of The X-Files when two glass doors at the police station suddenly swung open on their own.

The incident which took place at Malacca’s Bandar Hilir police station at 4.21am last Thursday was captured on CCTV.

The footage shows three policemen sitting at the counter. Suddenly, a door to the right of the camera swings open, followed almost immediately by the left panel of the main door.

Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Shaikh Abdul Adzis Shaikh Abdullah told theSun daily that one of the doors had broken on impact.

“I have confirmed that the doors in the police station opened and one broke, but I have not received any reports just yet.

“The incident may be affected by wind pressure, and I am still waiting for the reports from the policemen present at the scene,” he was quoted as saying.

The video clip has since gone viral on social media, but the report said investigators are also looking into why CCTV footage from a police station was leaked on social media.
