Speaking to The Star Online, Sarah Jane Banahan, 31, said she has lived in Malaysia for two and a half years now and manages a bar in downtown Kuala Lumpur.
“I like the hot weather, England is too cold.”
Her erotic parties she throws are however limited to Europe and Australia, the Briton said, as she appreciated that Malaysia was a somewhat conservative country and that such events would be frowned upon here.
“I understand that Malaysia is a Muslim country and is generally conservative. I feel that you have to be respectful, that is why I don’t host parties here,” she told The Star Online, adding that she herself took pains to “dress appropriately.”
When not organising or hosting her erotic sex parties, Banahan models and furnishes tips on sex for publications like GQ Magazine
“I’ve always been a bit wild. I’ve rebelled against my strict upbringing. But my mum is so supportive. She understands that it’s like going back to the 60s era,” she said of her mother who is an accountant. Her father is a bus driver.
Banahan explained that the erotic party idea came about innocently enough as a surprise lingerie sex party she put together for her boyfriend a while back.
“I invited about five friends, and it turned out to be a massive orgy of about 35 people and even had a celebrity turn up at the party,” she told the news portal, adding that when friends kept asking when the next party was, she decided to capitalise on the demand and make a business of it.
Going full swing in June 2015, Banahan’s parties are held at hotel suites, mansions, or yachts; and is only open to an exclusive group of members who sign up with The Play Experience.
The venue is also kept under wraps for that element of surprise and each party has a different theme, she explained, adding that guests wear masks and while men dress in tuxedos, the women must come in lingerie that fits the theme of the party.
“Guests do not know where they are going. They are picked up from their homes in limousines and are served champagne, and then driven to the party venue,” said Banahan.
She explained that members were made up of both couples and singles who simply wanted to fulfil their sexual fantasies.
“Everyone has a naughty side and everyone has sexual needs. Even if you’re in a relationship or a marriage, you should keep it alive and keep it spicy,” said Banahan.
“I’m just here to throw a good party and create a safe environment for people to experiment.”
Considering her parties have security personnel on hand in case things get out of hand, as well as music, racy performances and a bar, a ticket does set one back by £150 to £300 (RM791 to RM1,582).
