Although deliveries are at the moment limited to Singapore’s Central Area, the city’s main business and commerce center, Uber has promised that it will be expanding its service coverage, as well as its menu.
UberEATS first launched in Toronto earlier this year before being rolled out to four major US cities. It was tested in Singapore last month.
Uber also chose Singapore as its first Asian market when launching its taxi ride service back in February 2013. Although the city has a small population, just 5.4 million, it has been chosen by Uber on both occasions as one of Asia’s top tech hubs and with inhabitants that are open to trying out new online services and apps.
