KUALA LUMPUR:
The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) confirmed that mixed doubles player Toh Ee Wei sustained a knee injury during her quarter-final match at the Singapore Open last week.

BAM said in a statement today that an MRI scan revealed a partial tear of her left knee’s anterior cruciate ligament.

“As a result, Toh Ee Wei and her mixed doubles partner, Chen Tang Jie, have withdrawn from the Indonesia Open 2026,” the statement said.

Ee Wei is scheduled to undergo a follow-up MRI scan next Friday, after which BAM’s medical team will determine the next course of treatment and rehabilitation.
