Arif-Roy King won easily against China’s Xie Hao Nan-Zeng Wei Han in 38 minutes with a score of 21-12, 21-17. Their quarter-final opponents are Fajar Alfian-Muhammad Shohibul Fikri from Indonesia.
As for Aaron-Wooi Yik, they will take on the tough Indonesian pair of Sabar Karyaman Gutama- Reza Pahlevi Isfahani in the last eight. This morning, they defeated their compatriots Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi 21-17, 24-22.
Pearly-Thinaah were in great form defeating Chinese pair Bao Li Jing-Zhang Zhu Xian 22-20, 21-15 in 46 minutes. Their last eight opponents are China’s in-form duo Chen Qing Chen-Jia Yi Fan.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei will face Hong Kong’s Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet while Soon Huat-Shevon Lai clash with the world No 1 pair from China, Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping, later today.
