
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the firm said Shahriman also tendered his resignation as director of the company.
He also resigned as director of Sapura Resources’s subsidiary firms – SRB One Sdn Bhd, Aero Handlers Sdn Bhd, Aerodome Services Sdn Bhd, and Sapura Technics Sdn Bhd, which is currently undergoing court-ordered winding-up proceedings.
“The board has decided to accept Shahriman’s resignation as managing director of the company and acknowledges his resignation as director of the company as well as his directorships of the subsidiaries,” Sapura Resources said, reported Bernama.
The board also said it is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Shahriman had been placed on a leave of absence, effective Sept 11.
Its chief corporate officer Mai Eliza Mior Zubir was appointed as the officer-in-charge to temporarily assume the duties, functions, powers, and authorities of the MD.
