The announcement was made on Southern Tigers Facebook page today.
Rodriguez, 31, who is Spanish, used to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.
“Jese Rodriguez has played for major clubs in all top divisions. The two-time UEFA Champions League winner is now part of the JDT family,” JDT said.
Besides Real Madrid, Rodriguez had also played for Paris St Germain, Sampdoria, Stoke City and Real Betis. JDT would be his 10th team.
He was reported to have been without a club after leaving Brazilian club Coritiba in January.
Rodriguez, who has played as a winger and centre-forward, will join other Spaniards on the JDT team, like Jordi Amat (the captain), Oscar Arribas, Natxo Insa and Juan Muñiz.
