PETALING JAYA:
Gamuda Berhad has announced a “record breaking” revenue of RM15 billion, which includes revenue from shares in joint venture companies, for its financial year ending in July.

In a statement, the engineering, property and infrastructure company said the RM15 billion annual revenue represented a 63% increase from last year’s revenue, with overseas revenue tripling to RM9 billion from the previous RM3.5 billion recorded.

The growth was anchored by the higher work progress of the Australian projects, it said.

Gamuda also posted a core post-tax earning of RM912 million, a 12% increase from last year’s RM815 million on the back of higher overseas construction earnings and stronger domestic property earnings and margins.

The core net earnings did not include discontinued highway operations.

The group also posted a RM25 billion construction order and property sales of RM5 billion.

“Gamuda has achieved record-breaking performance for the third consecutive year, propelled by exceptional growth in its construction order book and property sales,” it said.

Gamuda said it anticipates next year’s performance will be driven mainly by overseas and domestic construction activities.

They include the building of several data centres and higher contributions from the property division’s various quick-turnaround projects.

“The group’s resilience is underpinned by its large construction order book of RM25 billion and unbilled property sales of RM7.7 billion,” it said.
