National women’s shuttlers Pearly Tan-M Thinaah are through to the semi-finals of the 2024 Korea Open badminton championship.

The duo beat Chinese Taipei’s Teng Chun Hsun-Yang Chu Yun 21-19, 21- 15 in the quarter-final today.

The world No 13 duo were in devastating form as they smashed their way to victory.

They will face a tough challenge in the semi-final tomorrow as they will be up against the top seeds and world No 2 Lee So Hee-Baek Ha Na, who will be enjoying home ground advantage.

It was double joy for Malaysia today after Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei booked their berth in the last-four of the mixed doubles event.

In an all-Malaysian clash, Tang Jie-Ee Wei defeated Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai 21-18, 21-11 in the quarter-finals.

They will meet Zhang Chi-Cheng Xing of China tomorrow for a place in the final.
