PETALING JAYA: Country Heights Holdings Bhd (CHHB) share price fell 35.5 sen, or 30%, to 83.5 sen this morning from yesterday’s close of RM1.19, prompting Bursa Malaysia to call a halt to trading at the counter.
The counter hit limit down within the first hour of the opening bell, by which time 21 million shares had already changed hands.
This led to Bursa Malaysia flagging the counter for an unusual market activity query in accordance with Paragraph 9.11 of the Main Market Listing Requirements.
The decline made CHHB the biggest loser of the day.
The company posted net losses of RM34.6 million and RM33.9 million in the 2019 and 2020 financial years respectively. The losses were contributed mainly by its healthcare and property divisions.
However, the company recovered to post a net profit of RM2.65 million in FY2021.
