KUALA LUMPUR:
Bank Rakyat CEO Rosman Mohamed will end his service with the bank on Jan 31.

Rosman, who begins his leave today, will also relinquish all the other positions he held, including as board member of Rakyat Management Services Sdn Bhd, Rakyat Holdings Sdn Bhd and Yayasan Bank Rakyat, effective immediately, the bank said.

“His desire has been relayed to the board of directors of the bank and the entrepreneur development and cooperatives ministry,” it said in a statement.

To ensure the leadership of the bank proceeds smoothly, Bank Rakyat said Syed Abdul Aziz Syed Hassan, deputy CEO of operations, will be acting CEO from today.

A replacement plan is being put in motion to fill the CEO’s post and will be announced soon.

Rosman began his service with the bank as a board member on April 1, 2019. He was appointed acting managing director on Aug 1, 2019, before being appointed CEO on Feb 1 this year.
