Media Prima shares continue decline

It comes after the media conglomerate announces a major retrenchment exercise.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Media Prima Bhd stocks continued to decline today as the company plans a second round of retrenchment.

Media Prima Bhd had on Friday assured employees affected by its restructuring plan of a fair compensation package.

At 11am, its stock declined to 34 sen with 361,100 shares traded, a new low since June this year.

Media Prima owns newspapers New Straits Times, Berita Harian and Harian Metro, alongside television channels TV3, ntv7, 8TV, and TV9.
