KUALA LUMPUR:
Secret Recipe Cakes & Cafe Sdn Bhd (Secret Recipe), Malaysia’s homegrown restaurant chain, plans to ride on the post-Covid-19 resumption of business activity to expand operations.

For a start, it will expand to more than 400 outlets nationwide in the next two years, from 340 currently, business development director Patrick Sim said.

“We are looking forward to expanding to other countries as well,” he said.

Apart from Malaysia, Secret Recipe now has an additional 440 outlets in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Maldives and Bangladesh.

“Secret Recipe is expected to grow 15% to 20% this year in comparison with last year and the market looks promising and at a very good recovery stage,” Sim told Bernama after the 25th anniversary celebration event at Citta Mall here today.

At the same event, the homegrown lifestyle café chain also introduced its newly-appointed brand ambassador Mira Filzah, a well-known actress, host, model and entrepreneur.
