The insurer said the service is aimed at improving the customer’s car servicing experience and has been rolled out to existing customers with an insured sum of RM50,000 and above.
The service is a joint initiative with Europ Assistance, the group’s assistance company.
“We foresee that this will have a positive impact on our revenue targets,” MPI Generali CEO KG Krishnamoorthy Rao said in a statement.
He expects the popularity of the service to pick up given that clients prefer a hassle-free, time-saving, low-contact experience.
“One lesson we have learnt, post-pandemic, is that we need to innovate to stay ahead of the curve, particularly in the insurance sector,” Krishnamoorthy said.
MPI Generali said customers can book the service through its portal. Policyholders can have their cars picked up and driven to a scheduled service point and returned to a new or same location.
It said the service includes pick-ups for regular car servicing, a car wash or polish and minor accident fixing, for an unlimited number of times per year.
It is currently available in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, from Mondays to Saturdays (8am to 6pm), for active MPI Generali Private Car Comprehensive policyholders.
