
Hanif, who has more than 20 years of experience in the banking sector, has served as executive director of group treasury at Affin Bank Bhd since December 2021.
In a statement, Affin Group said Hanif’s career has spanned senior roles, including as regional head of Islamic treasury and director of fixed income, underlining his expertise in debt capital markets and Islamic finance.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Hanif has been actively involved in the development of Malaysia’s financial markets and sits on Bank Negara Malaysia’s financial markets committee and chairs the Islamic financial markets subcommittee.
Affin Group president and CEO Wan Razly Abdullah said Hanif’s appointment reflected the group’s commitment to leadership continuity and strategic growth.
“Hanif’s proven track record, deep knowledge of debt capital markets, and leadership in Islamic finance put him in a strong position to steer Affin Hwang Investment Bank forward in line with our strategic plan,” he said.
