
Nicholas Sagau Tony Ngimat, the chief operating officer of REV Media Group, has been appointed as the new president of MDA. Pranav Jha, head of media practices at GroupM Malaysia, takes on the role of vice-president.
This leadership change follows the promotion of MDA’s former president, Eileen Ooi, to CEO of PHD APAC, marking a significant milestone for Malaysia’s digital industry on the regional stage.
Additionally, MDA has appointed Cindy Eliza Vaz, the chief digital officer of IPG Mediabrands, as treasurer. Vaz’s extensive experience in data-driven marketing and media solutions will be an asset in her new role.
Lydia Wang, recently promoted to chief operating officer of Star Media Group Bhd, will continue as MDA’s secretary.
“The digital landscape is at a critical juncture, and with AI set to disrupt the ecosystem, MDA’s role as a facilitator of collaboration and innovation is more important than ever,” said Nicholas Sagau.
Pranav added: “Having been part of MDA for the past three years, I am excited to continue supporting its mission to nurture talent, promote best practices in digital and tech, and foster cross-industry collaboration.”
The updated MDA Council for the 2025-2026 term includes prominent industry players such as Astro Media Solutions, Dentsu Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd, FCB Shout, REV Media Group, iMedia Asia Sdn Bhd, Petronas, Sinar Karangkraf Sdn Bhd, Star Media Group Bhd, Vivaki Malaysia, and Xamble Group Ltd.
