According to a Bernama report, the initial 2.3ha complex features 3,500 sq m of advanced manufacturing space for the global leader in aerospace fasteners and precision machining components.

“Nafco’s establishment of this advanced manufacturing facility represents a transformative moment for Malaysia’s aerospace industry.

“This investment aligns perfectly with the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 and Malaysian Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2030, positioning Malaysia as a premier destination for high-technology manufacturing,” said Malaysian Investment Development Authority CEO Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid.

There are plans for the group to have a second facility spanning 19,000 sq m, expected to be completed within two years.

Nafco’s venture joins Malaysia’s growing aerospace sector with RM1.5 billion in approved investments in 2024.

With this expansion, Nafco has pledged to provide a diverse range of high-quality products and services, further advancing innovation in the aerospace industry while supporting Malaysia’s vision to capture 5% of the global maintenance, repair and operations market by 2030.
