In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, HHRG said Fong has been suspended from April 7, for two weeks.
“The suspension is a precautionary measure to facilitate an independent and thorough review into allegations of misconduct in breach of the company’s policies and/or implied terms and conditions of Fong’s employment,” the company said.
HHRG further emphasised that Fong’s suspension will have no impact on the company’s financials or operations.
“During the period of Fong’s suspension, executive deputy chairman Ammar Shaikh Mahmood Naim will assume full authority over the company’s operational and managerial matters,” it said.
HHRG added that it will provide further developments on the matter as and when necessary.
