In a statement today, Dutch Lady said she will succeed Ramjeet Kaur Virik, who has held the position since July 2021 and will now transition to the role of global director, marketing and innovations at FrieslandCampina Professional and Trading in the Netherlands.
Utami, who is currently the marketing director for consumer dairy and specialised nutrition at Frisian Flag Indonesia, will lead Dutch Lady’s operations and report to FrieslandCampina Asia president Corine Tap.
She will assume the new role with extensive leadership experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector in Indonesia.
Under her leadership and experience, Frisian Flag brands experienced rapid growth across all segments and Utami oversaw the transformation of various Frisian Flag brands into a cohesive umbrella brand, showcasing the strength of innovation, corporate identity, and sustainability.
The company also achieved two consecutive years of market share growth.
Before joining Frisian Flag, Utami spent 20 years at Unilever taking on multiple marketing leadership roles in Indonesia and the region.
She served as fabric cleaning director for Southeast Asia and New Zealand from 2018 to 2019 and was appointed to Unilever Indonesia’s board of directors later that year.
Dutch Lady said Utami’s expertise will be instrumental in navigating Dutch Lady’s next phase of growth and development.
It also acknowledged Virik’s contributions, particularly in overseeing the transition of Dutch Lady’s manufacturing hub from Petaling Jaya, Selangor to Bandar Enstek in Negeri Sembilan.
