Metronic unit secures RM31mil automation contract for water project

A subsidiary of Metronic Global Bhd was appointed to install an instrumentation system for the Sungai Rasau water supply scheme.

KUALA LUMPUR:
A subsidiary of Metronic Global Bhd has been awarded a RM31 million contract to install an automation system for a Selangor government water supply project.

In a stock exchange filing today, Metronic Global said its subsidiary MAT JV Sdn Bhd had been appointed as the sub-contractor in relation to the instrumentation system for the Sungai Rasau water supply scheme.

The Rasau project, scheduled for completion in 2027, comprises several former tin mining ponds to be converted into off-river storage. It will be the largest water supply scheme in Southeast Asia.
