In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the group said the announcement was made regarding a news report on Shahriman’s absence.

“Further announcements will be made in the event of material developments on this matter,” it said.

Sapura Resources said during this period, its chief corporate officer Mai Eliza Mior Mohamad Zubir has been appointed as the officer-in-charge who will temporarily assume the duties, functions, powers, and authorities of the MD, effective Sept 11.
