
PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia has suspended intraday short selling (IDSS) for Kenanga Investment Bank Bhd (Kenanga IB) for the remainder of the day after the stock breached its price limit.
In a filing today, the exchange said the suspension was triggered after the investment bank’s share price fell by more than 15%, or 15 sen, from the reference price.
It said the short selling for Kenanga Investment Bank under IDSS will resume on Friday, Aug 30, at 8.30am.
As of 2.30pm, Kenanga Investment Bank’s shares had fallen 15.25% to RM1 from the previous day’s close of RM1.18, with 1.25 million shares changing hands.
