
Rajalingam, who was appointed as MISC Group’s president and CEO in October 2022, has opted to resign and pursue other interests.
He held various positions and leadership roles in the MISC Group before being appointed as the AET Group’s president and CEO in January 2016.
“MISC’s board of directors and the management are grateful for Rajalingam’s contributions to the organisation and the industry,” the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
Meanwhile, Zahid has been with MISC Group since 2017 and joined the organisation as the vice-president of gas assets and solutions.
“He also sits on the boards of several subsidiaries and joint-venture companies within the MISC Group,” it said.
Zahid has served as a director on the AET board since January 2020 before being appointed as AET president and CEO effective June 1, 2023.
He was appointed as the COO of MISC Group effective June 1, 2024, while continuing in his capacity as AET president and CEO.
Before joining the shipping group, Zahid was with the Shell Group of companies for over 20 years.
At the industry level, Zahid served as chairman of the Advisory Panel at Malaysia Women in Energy (MyWiE).
