In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, IHH said Nik Norzrul is succeeding Azlan Hashim, 67, who has retired as the group’s independent non-executive chairman after the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) on May 28, 2024.

The integrated healthcare provider said Nik Norzrul is currently a consultant at a law firm, Zaid Ibrahim & Co.

“His expertise includes providing legal advice on Islamic finance, banking, offshore finance, debt restructuring, and international, corporate, and commercial law,” IHH said.

“Nik Norzrul also oversees debt and corporate restructuring transactions and the issuance of private debt securities, encompassing Islamic financial instruments for domestic and international clients,” it said.

IHH said Nik Norzrul holds directorships in the Malaysian Rating Corporation, Cagamas Holdings, Amanah Saham Nasional, MARC Ratings, Zico Trust, SD Guthrie, T7 Global, and Pertama Digital.
