PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query to PIE Industrial Bhd following a sharp rise in its share price and trading volume recently.
At 12.30pm, the company’s share price climbed to 90 sen or 14.54% to RM7.09, with 2.03 million shares changing hands.
“Investors are advised to take note of the company’s reply to the UMA query which will be posted on Bursa Malaysia’s website under the company announcements (section) when making their investment decision,” said Bursa Malaysia in a filing today.
PIE Industrial provides major multinational companies with various electronics, telecommunications, and computer peripheral products.
