In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Sentoria said the suspension period will be for three months and will vary depending on the final recommendation by the External Inquiry Team (EIT) to be appointed the soonest possible.
“The EIT shall ascertain the areas and seriousness of Loh’s misconduct and recommend solutions,” said the property development company.
Sentoria said that the inquiry covers the following main areas, namely his absence from office without notice from May 17, 2024; abuse of position/authority; and other misrepresentation and irregularities.
“The board wishes to further announce that during the period of suspension the existing duties and responsibilities of Loh shall be taken over by the joint managing directors of the company.
“The company will announce further developments on the above matter as and when necessary,” it said.
At the close of trading, Sentoria’s share price was up by 0.5 sen or 9% at 6 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM37 million.
