IBFIM names RHB Islamic Bank CEO Adissadikin Ali as chairman

Adissadikin succeeds Rafique Merican Wahiduddin Merican, who retired from the board.

PETALING JAYA:
The Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) has appointed Adissadikin Ali as the chairman of its board of directors, effective April 26, 2024.

In a statement, IBFIM announced that Adissadikin succeeds Rafique Merican Wahiduddin Merican, who retired from the board.

IBFIM stated that Adissadikin, the current CEO of RHB Islamic Bank Bhd, brings with him more than 30 years of experience in the financial services sector.

He also served as the former president of the Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM).

Adissadikin expressed his commitment to fostering the growth of local and global talent in the Islamic finance industry and to realising IBFIM’s aspiration to become the global reference centre for Islamic finance.

IBFIM also announced the reappointment of Yusry Yusoff as CEO for three years, effective April 1, 2024.
