
Prior to this appointment, he was Sime Darby Property Selatan Sdn Bhd’s general manager and was responsible for the Malaysia Vision Valley project in Negeri Sembilan.
“I am honoured by the opportunity to share my experience with the team as we work to operationalise the Cyberjaya masterplan, which was launched in 2019.
“While there has been progress to attract both technology foreign direct investments and domestic direct investments, there remains a huge potential to further the development of Cyberjaya,” Kamarul said in a statement today.
He also held several key positions in Sime Darby Property Bhd, spanning from business development, strategic planning and corporate investment to leading business units.
He was the chief strategic relations officer in London for the Battersea Power Station Development Company Ltd, representing the Malaysian consortium comprising Sime Darby Property, SP Setia Bhd and EPF.
Cyberview said Kamarul’s experience in various fields will strengthen its role in helping shape Malaysia’s future in innovation, through Cyberjaya, as a tech investment location and technology hub.
