FGV redesignates Shahrol Anuwar as its interim chairman

This follows the expiry of the tenure of the previous chairman, Dzulkifli Abd Wahab, yesterday.

Shahrol Anuwar Sarman was serving as a government-appointed director on FGV’s board of directors before this.
KUALA LUMPUR:
FGV Holdings Bhd today announced the redesignation of Shahrol Anuwar Sarman, a government-appointed director on FGV’s board of directors, as interim chairman effective today.

In a statement, FGV said he would assume this new role until the appointment of a new chairman later.

The redesignation follows the expiry of the tenure of the previous chairman, Dzulkifli Abd Wahab, yesterday.

Shahrol, 49, has vast experience in leadership roles locally and globally.

He held various positions within the finance ministry and was the undersecretary of the ministry’s strategic investment division from 2019 to 2022.

Currently, he is also the director of the national budget office in the finance ministry.

He holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Cardiff University, Wales, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Universiti Teknologi Mara.
