
The announcement will be made at a signing ceremony today in the presence of Malaysian Space Agency space exploration division director Kamaruzzaman Wahid.
“Sirius, with its vast experience and expertise in the satellite and space industry, are experts in the field of space technology.
“It will organise space industry workshops and seminars to channel potential customers, which require financing through equity financing, investment and venture capital,” the company said in a statement.
The company will also launch a membership drive for an NGO called Malaysian Space Council, which is to be established soon.
According to Sirius, the membership drive for the Malaysian Space Council as well as participation in seminars, workshops and symposiums under the science, technology and innovation ministry would further empower the space industry and its technological advancements.
“Funding will be based on technical evaluation and risk mitigation exercise of the business as well as the viability of the products and services,” it said, adding that Nusa would increase the fund size according to demand.
