MYAirline takes to the air on Dec 1

New low-cost carrier looking to serve Asean region early next year.

The Airbus A320-200 will serve all MYAirline routes.
PETALING JAYA:
MYAirline, Malaysia’s newest low-cost carrier, will begin flying to Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching from Dec 1.

Bookings begin at 12.01am tomorrow on its website www.myairline.my, the airline said in a press statement today.

Reservations can be made on the website until Nov 30 for the travel period from Dec 1 to March 25, next year.

The airline, which has made klia2 its hub, will initially fly daily to Kuching and twice daily to Kota Kinabalu and Langkawi. From Dec 23, MYAirline will fly three times daily to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu on the Airbus A320-200 with 180 seats in a single class cabin.

The all-in fare is RM48 to Langkawi, RM68 to Kuching and RM88 to Kota Kinabalu.

MYAirline will eventually spread its wings to Kota Bharu, Penang, Sibu, Tawau, Miri, Alor Setar, Terengganu and other major destinations in Malaysia.

MYAirline CEO Rayner Teo said there are plans to serve the Asean region as well by Q2 next year at the latest.
