This has been made possible with the launching of the Bursa Fund Platform, an interactive fund information resource, by Bursa Malaysia Bhd today.
Bursa CEO Muhamad Umar Swift said the fund platform would complement the current investment marketplace given that many investors have interests in both the listed and unlisted markets.
In a statement issued to the media, Umar said that through the “one platform, one location, one click” proposition offered by Bursa, investors would get a more user-friendly experience.
“It offers features such as quick and easy fund comparison and the creation of a watchlist for users to track and monitor funds that meet their investment needs and risk appetites,” he said.
He said the platform would also enable users to communicate directly with the participating fund managers if they wish to invest or simply to receive more personalised services.
Umar said the platform would address the industry’s current information inefficiencies to help investors make better informed investment decisions.
“Additionally, having more participation in this space will contribute to a more liquid and vibrant capital market,” he added.
Both shariah and conventional funds with equity, fixed income and ESG (environmental, social and governance) mandates are available on the platform.
The fund managers on the platform are Kenanga Investment Bhd, Opus Asset Management Sdn Bhd, RHB Asset Management Sdn Bhd, RHB Islamic Asset Management Bhd, UOB Asset Management (M) Bhd, AMFunds Management Bhd and AMIslamic Funds Management Sdn Bhd.
