PETALING JAYA: Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) director Shamsul Anuar Ahamad Ibrahim has been redesignated as the civil engineering specialist’s independent non-executive chairman.
Shamsul was first appointed to the board of the company on Sept 1, 2015.
He also serves as a member of the SCIB audit as well as remuneration and nomination committees. In addition, he chairs the risk management committee.
He is currently the group corporate affairs general manager of Permodalan Assar Sdn Bhd, which is the holding company of Amanah Saham Sarawak Bhd.
Amanah Saham Sarawak is a state-owned investment holding company with interests in financial services, property development and construction, services and technology, manufacturing, trading as well as the agriculture and resource-based sector.
Shamsul also sits on the board of Transnational Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd.
