Airbus shares plunge 6% after Le Monde reports US probe

The US Department of Justice reportedly opened a probe for 'improper practices' at the end of 2017.

Shares in European aircraft maker Airbus tumbled more than 6% after the French daily Le Monde reported that it could face fines of several billion dollars under a US corruption probe.

The newspaper said that the US Department of Justice opened a probe for “improper practices” at the end of 2017 and informed Airbus it was under investigation at the end of the summer.
