
HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks jumped more than 2% in the first few minutes of trade on Friday following another wall Street rally with trade talk hopes boosted by upbeat comments from Donald Trump.
The Hang Seng Index rose 2.22%, or 564.44 points, to 25,980.44.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.65%, or 43.01 points, to 2,649.25, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, rose 1.96%, or 25.64 points, to 1,331.95.
