
At 3.08pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) stood at 1,726.29, down 5.85 points, from Friday’s close of 1,732.14, after opening 1.88 points lower at 1,730.26.
On the broader market, losers outpaced gainers 471 to 256 while 330 counters were unchanged, 854 untraded and 41 others suspended.
Turnover stood at 1.41 billion shares worth RM1 billion.
Among heavyweights, Maybank and Public Bank were flat at RM9.60 and RM25 respectively, while Tenaga fell six sen to RM14.50, Petronas Chemicals declined one sen to RM9.38 and CIMB lost four sen to RM5.98.
For actives, MyEG rose 26 sen to RM1.39, Datasonic decreased three sen to 45.5 sen and Sapura Energy added two sen to 35.5 sen.
The FBM Emas Index contracted 35.22 points to 11,935.29, the FBMT 100 Index dwindled 35.82 points to 11,764.17 and the FBM Emas Shariah Index dropped 50.2 points to 11,895.92.
The FBM Ace Index erased 67.95 points to 5,032.01 and the FBM70 shed 26.02 points to 13,748.13.
Sector-wise, the Plantation Index subsided 27.15 points to 7,399.82, the Industrial Products and Services Index discounted 0.97 points to 172.14 and the Financial Services Index shrank 44.41 points to 17,521.05.
