
They also hope to expand their travel destinations within Asean countries, the Malaysian Reserve reported.
The partnership will allow passengers to make travel reservations for destinations offered by both airlines.
According to the report, the agreement would allow ANA passengers to tap into Malindo’s growing regional network out of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
“It is indeed crucial for us, as a premium airline, to expand our route network and bring our passengers beyond KLIA with great airline partners.
“With ANA, our passengers will be connected to more than 200 global and domestic destinations through ANA’s hubs in Narita and Haneda,” Malindo Air CEO Chandran Rama Muthy said in a statement.
He said the interline agreement would increase the number of transit passengers at KLIA and contribute to the airport’s activities.
In June, Malindo Air had commenced new flights to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Chennai, India.
Currently, the airline flies to over 46 cities across 16 countries, including 13 major airports in Malaysia, according to the Malaysian Reserve
